Despite a two year break, we weren't beefing. We just hadn't podcasted. In this episode, we discuss changes to Burda (the magazine and website), what we do and don't like in the May and June 2011 issues and what we're working on.

So glad you are back. Because of your podcast I have subscribed to Burda and love it. I can’t wait to hear you guys again. Thanks

Enjoyed listening to you vent lol.. I pretty much second everything you guys said. I cancelled my Burda subscripction a year ago and even though I still flip through pages every month when the new issue comes out I haven’t bought one in a year. I completely hate the whole tracing sheets bs they have done and like you said for such a big company they don’t really respect their English readers much.. and most importantly I feel like overall the patterns are just kind of not modern and dowdy.. Sure the pictures are great and the models looks great, but the actual patterns are horrible in my opinion and can only look good on those skinny models, and sometimes not even that is the case. Burda has gotten lazy and they lost me long time ago. Sorry I had to vent lol..

Ok, listened to it in really poor conditions at work so will listen again at home later. But I’m happy to hear you and hope you can make a couple more this year.

Yes, we’re listening! So yeah, Burda has been meh lately, but still I prefer it over evil Patrones, so there’s that.

Great podcast, I enjoy listening to your take on burda latest issues & garments.

Love it! Another one would be fab!
I’d also like to second what Trena said about blouson backs not working with swaybacks (or anyone with badly postured shoulders for that matter). Why look for problems?

Yeah, you’re back. Loved the podcast.

Welcome back, ladies! I have missed your podcast, though I have still been checking out both of your blogs regularly. I have to say, re Burda, that I am surprised to like their spring/summer plus-size special issue, much more than their regular issues. Do they save all their best stuff for that? Or, maybe it is just an exception to the general decline
I am not in their plus-size range, but close enough that I don’t need a lot of changes, so I am glad to have found this option!

Liked the podcast, I don’t like what Burda did to their website. You used to be able to look up the pictures for back issues up to three years! I dropped my subscription last year as I don’t like Burdastyle much, I miss BWOF.

Loved the casual discussion, but like you - why not Beta first, and for a large company, what were they thinking? Particularly in this economy, I can’t imagine doing your clients that way. Not sure what they were thinking!

Yes! Thanks for posting!

Just listened again, and loved it again! Please please record another podcast soon
I especially like hearing your perspectives on Burda’s “fashion” looks - guess I am not the only one who is frustrated!
